Range:

Tropical regions of South Central Asia, from Pakistan to China, and as far south as the Maldives.

Habitat:

Forests and swamps, usually in the vicinity of water.

Activity:

Nocturnal.

Diet:

Frugivorous (feeding on fruit). This species is reported to eat many types of fruit including guava, mango, and figs. They eat by pressing fruit against the roof of their mouths to squeeze the juice from the pulp, which they discard.
