Diet:

Insects and other Arthropods make up most of the diet. Sometimes they will eat amphibians, reptiles, and birds.

Offspring:

The female lays a sac full of large eggs at the end of her burrow.

Incubation:

6 to 7 weeks.

Interesting Facts:

Females are long lived. Longevity reports vary from 20-30 years in captivity. Males often get eaten by the female after the mating ceremony.
