African Plains Exhibit Tours

Before the giraffes and lions arrive at Zoo Boise, you can experience an extraordinary behind-the-scenes guided tour of the new Mr. & Mrs. Clarence B. Wilmot African Plains Exhibit.

Be the first to explore the new exhibit and voyage through the lodgings of the giraffes and lions before they take up residence.

From September 18 - 21, you will be able to journey through the largest exhibit in Zoo Boise's history.  Discover the hidden secrets of these new habitats while you can, for once these magnificent lodgers move in, Zoo Boise can no longer offer this rare opportunity.


Tour highlights will be:

• Prowl the Lion Plains and the lions' indoor holding area.
• Venture through the Giraffe Grasslands and the giraffes' squeeze chute and barn.
• Group photo taken atop Lion Vista.
• Commemorative Ward Hooper African Plains Exhibit poster.
• Ride the new Safari Express Train

Event Registration:

• $100.00 for groups of 4 (children under 1 year are free)
• $30 for individuals
