Education Programs

Since children remain largely unprotected from COVID-19, we will continue to require employees and participants in programs geared toward children to wear face coverings, even when outdoors (with some exceptions including when eating, drinking, or swimming).

Zoo Boise’s mission is to connect our visitors with animals to inspire and involve our community in the conservation of wildlife worldwide. Our programs strive to fulfill the zoo’s mission by providing unique, fun and engaging nature-focused experiences that foster appreciation for animals and their environments as well as raise awareness of conservation issues and possible solutions.

Zoo program activities include up-close animal encounters, zoo tours, nature walks, ecology games and simulations, science-based investigations & explorations, zookeeper presentations and some interesting Zoo Boise history.

Zoo Boise youth camps include:

  • Zoo guided tours
  • Classroom lessons, demonstrations, and experiments
  • Exploration of animal biofacts
  • Daily animal encounter or enrichment
  • Arts & crafts projects
  • Educational videos
  • Zookeeper talks
  • Ecology-focused games

Cost per camp is $215 for full-day and $110 for half-day. Members can get a discount code by sending us an EMAIL.
