Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and at Zoo Boise we have several ways you can show your love to that special someone in your life.
- Woo at the Zoo Adult Night
Woo at the Zoo – A Wild Valentine’s Celebration for Adults (ages 18+) on February 16 from 4-7pm.
Birds do it. Bees do it. Snow leopards do it. Find out how animals at Zoo Boise woo each other and Woo at the Zoo. Open to both singles and sweethearts 18 and older, this memorable Valentine’s Day event will reveal the intimate secrets of exotic animal mating and dating – from the humorous and tawdry to passionate and subtle. Enjoy a guided stroll through the zoo, presentations by zookeepers regarding animal breeding in zoos, up-close animal encounters and other animal-amore-related activities. A pasta dinner, dessert, drinks, photos with your sweetheart, and take-home chocolate are included.
Cost per person: $45 for zoo members and $50 for nonmembers.
- Name a Cockroach
Show your love this Valentine’s Day by naming a Zoo Boise cockroach after that special someone, your best friend, or your favorite family member. After purchasing, we will email you the certificate. Just respond with what you want to name the cockroach (must be approved by Zoo Boise staff) and we’ll add it to the website. The cost is only $10 or pair it with a discounted behind the scenes tour to give an extra special gift!
- Candy - Golden Ticket Fundraiser with Cravin's Candy Emporium
Your local neighborhood candy store, Cravin’s Candy Emporium, is partnering with Zoo Boise to bring patrons and animal lovers a sweet treat and benefit Zoo Boise at the same time.
On Sunday, the 10th of February, 2019, Cravin’s Candy Emporium will donate 20% of your purchases to Zoo Boise. Cravin’s features all your favorite treats, classic candies, handmade chocolates, gifts and memorabilia as well as the best gelato ice cream in town. Remember your sweetie (and your furry friends) and give back to Zoo Boise. You get to support two great local Boise traditions at one time.
Show the event to the cashier at 3064 S. Bown Way, Boise between the hours of 11 am and 8 pm on Sunday, the 10th day of February, 20119 (or just tell the cashier that you are here for the Zoo Boise fundraiser).

Starting at only $20, you can be a hero this Valentine’s Day and book an up-close tour!
Get up-close and personal with your favorite Zoo Boise animals, with private and affordable Behind the Scenes Tours. Animals can include giraffes, penguins, Mr. Mac (Aldabra tortoise), and more.
- Wild at Heart - FREE DAY
Wild at Heart is FREE to the Public!
Enjoy FREE admission on Saturday, February 2 for Wild at Heart at Zoo Boise. This family friendly Valentine’s themed event will be full of fun things to do. There will be face painting, photo-ops, and special Valentine themed enrichment for all the Zoo Boise animal residents. Plus, you’ll be able to make a Valentine’s Day card for your favorite animal!
Wild at Heart is from 10am-5pm, with last admission at 4:30pm. We hope to see you there. Don’t forget to invite all your friends and family!
