Love is in the airโฆ and at Zoo Boise! Discover which animals are the ultimate romantics as we explore the funny, flirty, and sometimes scandalous ways animals woo. Our Valentineโs event will spill the intimate secrets of exotic animal mating and dating โ from the humorous and tawdry to the downright passionate.
Space is limited and tickets are only $25. Open to friends, singles, and sweethearts.

Name a Cockroach – $20
Can Your Love survive anything, just like a cockroach?
Show your love by naming a Zoo Boise cockroach after that special someone, your best friend, or your favorite family member. After purchasing, we will email you the certificate and add the name to our website. Cockroach names must be approved by Zoo Boise staff.

Adopt An Animal
Starting at $30
Symbolically add a member of our family to yours! Administered by the Friends of Zoo Boise, Adopt an Animal funds are used to provide special animal care and zookeeper training.
ADOPT AN ANIMAL CAN INCLUDE:
- Personalized adoption certificate.
- Plaque for you to decorate. The plaque will be displayed near the animalโs exhibit for 13 months from the date of purchase.
- Photo of your adopted Zoo Boise animal.
- Plush of your adopted animal made of recycled materials.
- Thank you note from a Zoo Boise staff member for your donation and support.
Please allow for processing time when purchasing gifts for Valentineโs Day. All gifts purchased before 5PM on Friday, February 6 will be put in the mail on or before Tuesday, February 10. We cannot guarantee an arrival date. To schedule a pickup, please send an email or call (208) 608-7765. Pickups must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Private Animal Experiences

Zoo Boise offers a variety of different Private Animal Experiences for your group to enjoy. Come meet your favorite zoo animal up-close by observing a training, watching an enrichment, or participating in a feeding. Encounters change seasonally.
Zoo Gift Shop
Find that perfect gift! Zoo Boise’s gift shop carries a great assortment of fun and educational souvenirs, clothing, toys, and more… all with a wildlife and environmental theme.
Admission to the zoo is required to shop.
