A Wild Valentine’s Celebration for Adults!
Beer and wine available for purchase. Must be 21+ to attend.
Birds do it. Bees do it. Red pandas sometimes do it. Find out how animals at Zoo Boise woo each other.
Our Valentine’s program will reveal the very intimate secrets of exotic animal mating and dating – from the humorous and tawdry to passionate. Join us for fun activities and a guided afterhours tour.
Space is limited and tickets are only $45. Open to friends, singles, and sweethearts.
Adopt An Animal
Starting at $30
Symbolically add a member of our family to yours! Administered by the Friends of Zoo Boise, Adopt an Animal funds are used to provide special animal care and zookeeper training.
ADOPT AN ANIMAL CAN INCLUDE:
- Personalized adoption certificate.
- Plaque for you to decorate. The plaque will be displayed near the animal’s exhibit for 13 months from the date of purchase.
- Photo of your adopted Zoo Boise animal.
- Plush of your adopted animal made of recycled materials.
- Thank you note from a Zoo Boise staff member for your donation and support.
A special Meerkat Valentine’s Adopt An Animal package is available!
Only 20 available and includes:
- Personalized Valentine’s Day adoption certificate.
- Plaque for you to decorate. The plaque will be displayed near the meerkat exhibit for 13 months from the date of purchase.
- Valentine card and photo of Zoo Boise’s meerkats.

Please allow for processing and shipping time when ordering your gift animal adoption. Saturday, February 8 is the last day to order a gift in time for Valentine’s Day. All gifts purchased by 5PM on February 8 will be put in the mail by Tuesday, February 11.
We cannot guarantee an arrival date. All pick up requests must be coordinated with a Friends of Zoo Boise staff member, please call (208) 608-7765 to schedule a pickup.
Name a Cockroach – $20
Can Your Love survive anything, just like a cockroach?
Show your love by naming a Zoo Boise cockroach after that special someone, your best friend, or your favorite family member. After purchasing, we will email you the certificate and add the name to our website. Cockroach names must be approved by Zoo Boise staff.
