Scholarships
Kids in foster care qualify for up to $600 a year in scholarships for Zoo Boise’s camps and programs (fiscal year is October – September).
Applying is very easy, just follow these 4 steps:
FYI – You do not have to provide financial information if applying only for children in foster care. In the box asking for “Describe why your family would benefit from a scholarship” – explain that the child or children are in foster care.
Step 1
Check out the current zoo season’s programs at www.zooboise.org/camps.
Step 2
Fill out the Kristin Armstrong Scholarship form: https://www.cityofboise.org/media/15393/fy23-kristin-armstong-youth-scholarship-request-form-fillable.pdf
Step 3
Include a current placement letter from the caseworker for proof that the child you are applying for is currently in foster care at your residence.
If you have any questions, feel free to email Jeff at Zoo Boise.
Please note: Zoo camps and programs have limited space, and some fill up very quickly. Registration is required for all camps and programs.
Scholarships can be used for other Boise Parks and Recreation Programs.
