Kids in foster care qualify for up to $600 a year in scholarships for Zoo Boise’s camps and programs (fiscal year is October – September).
Applying is very easy, just follow these 4 steps:
Step 1 – Check out the current zoo season’s programs at www.zooboise.org/camps.
Step 2 – Fill out the Kristin Armstrong Scholarship form: https://www.cityofboise.org/media/15393/fy23-kristin-armstong-youth-scholarship-request-form-fillable.pdf
FYI – You do not have to provide financial information if applying only for children in foster care. In the box asking for “Describe why your family would benefit from a scholarship” – explain that the child or children are in foster care.
Step 3 – Include a current placement letter from the caseworker for proof that the child you are applying for is currently in foster care at your residence.
Step 4 – Email scholarship form and placement letter.
If you have any questions, feel free to email Jeff at Zoo Boise.
Please note: Zoo camps and programs have limited space, and some fill up very quickly. Registration is required for all camps and programs.
